Collection: Benito Ferrara

The Benito Ferrara winery is the life's work of Gabriella and Sergio. Gabriella is the 4th generation of the Ferrara family. Since 1991, the family has bottled their high-quality wine under their own name. Gabriella and Sergio have their vineyards in the highest part of Tufo called San Paolo. Ferrara owns 12 hectares on the steepest slopes. They work without chemical pesticides and exclusively with their own yeast culture.

The Greco di Tufo is exceptional and the Greco Cicogna is an iconic wine. Furthermore, at Karakter, we are extremely charmed by the Taurasi. We always try to work without quotes from others. But this time we are using the opinions of Ian d'Agata and Stephen Tanzer. We would be doing Benito Ferrara a disservice if we did not include them.

“This small house is the number one producer of Greco di Tufo.”—Stephen Tanzer

“Benito Ferrara is one of Italy’s best white wine producers. Ferrara’s most famous wine, the Greco di Tufo Vigna Cicogna, is an Italian icon.”—Ian d’Agata.
