Large producer with no less than 180 hectares of vineyards. However, these kinds of sizes are not an exception in the south of Puglia. This is a family business, led by papa Rizzoli.

By Puglian standards, Sammarco has very good vineyards. They work with local grape varieties such as Primitivo (from Manduria), Nero di Troia, and Negroamaro.
