Joseph Masachs was founded by Josep Masachs Llorach. He started making Cava for friends and family. Joseph Masachs married Josefa Juvé Roig and they had two children, Francisca and José. The Joseph Masachs winery is located in Vilafranca del Penedès and was founded in 1930. Today, the winery is in the hands of the third generation of Masachs.
Cavas Masachs produces approximately 2.5 million bottles annually, 15% of which are exported. The winery owns about 43 hectares of vineyards planted with Macabeo, Xarel-lo, and Parellada grape varieties.
