Coteaux de Layon 1er Cru 'Chaume' 2021
Intensely sweet wine, made from grapes affected by noble rot (botrytis cinerea). This affliction causes the grape to naturally lose flavorless moisture, leaving behind a concentrated nectar to make sweet wine. Lush and captivating wine full of notes of ripe stone fruit and tropical fruit, stem ginger, acacia honey, and baking spices. Full-bodied, complex, and harmonious. Already delicious when young, but extra patience will certainly pay off.

Domaine Cady is a family business where succession has passed from father to son since its establishment in 1927. Currently, father Philippe and his son Alexandre (a finalist in the young winemaking talent competition in 2011, and now fully integrated into the business) manage the estate with great respect for nature, following the 'Terra Vitis' philosophy.
The current vineyard area spans 20 hectares, primarily planted with Chenin Blanc. A small portion is reserved for the dry Anjou Blanc and its oak-aged older brother 'Cheninsolite', with the remainder dedicated to the noble Coteaux du Layon in various cuvées and vintages.
