Until the age of 30, Graeme Angus had a busy job as a doctor in London, until in 2004 he chose a career as a winemaker in the sparsely populated Haut Languedoc and started this domain there with his wife Alice.
The taste and identity of Trois Terres are determined by an exceptional terroir. The vineyards are located on the banks of the Lac du Salagou reservoir, a protected nature reserve where only two small-scale wine producers are active.
The soil here is very rich in basalt and, as a result, strongly ferruginous, which translates into full and earthy (blood) red.
