The Mille 1 (referring to the 1001 miles that Italy is long) has everything a serious Italian red should have: power, expression, fruit concentrate, and the kiss of oak. A small portion of the grapes are dried, then pressed and added to the rest of the juice. A clever choice, as it adds even more intensity.
