Intense and bright yellow color, with fine, persistent and well-integrated bubbles. Complex aromas, with intense notes of ripe white fruit (pears, apples), fresh grass and a smoky and mineral background. Fresh, creamy in the mouth and very pleasant. Colet Navazos is a collaboration between Colet and Equipo Navazos, famous for discovering unique old Sherry 'botas' in Jerez. The idea is to experiment with bringing a sherry character to the stars of Penedès. This is 100% Chardonnay and dry Manzanilla pasada, instead of the dosage. The result is a truly unique dry sparkling wine, with unmistakable, but subtle, sherry aromas and delicious elegance and balance. A total of 1500 bottles and 41 months of aging on the lees.

The Colet family has been involved in viticulture in Alto Penedès, about 40 km southwest of Barcelona, since the end of the 18th century. Since Sergi took over, this bodega has been among the top in the region. The sparkling wines are made according to the 'traditional method' (second fermentation in the bottle) and excel in fragrance and freshness, a result of the northwestern orientation of many of the vineyards.
All of Sergi's sparkling wines now carry the designation of origin 'D.O. Penedès' instead of 'Cava'. This is because Sergi (and some like-minded individuals) believe that the name Cava does not do justice to his wines. We actually agree with him, because try to find a Cava that offers so much quality at this price level.
