Since 2014, Franz and Michael have been practicing "extreme viticulture" in the Spitzer Graben in Wachau.
The gentlemen know the steep and difficult-to-reach vineyards like the back of their hand. It's a prerequisite for making the wine they seek: one that expresses the essence of the vineyard.
Grabenwerkstatt works exclusively with Riesling and Grüner Veltliner. Besides these grape varieties being most suitable for the very specific vineyards, they are also the grapes the gentlemen personally prefer.
