Lesser-known wine from Puglia, but certainly no less loved. For those who like voluptuous, but not overly so. This wine is both powerful and subtle. The nose reveals predominantly ripe, slightly stewed dark fruit, while the palate also offers fresher red fruit. It has spicy, slightly earthy notes and a smooth finish thanks to its medium tannins.

Meer over Le Vigne di Sammarco

A large producer with no less than 180 hectares of vineyards. However, these kinds of sizes are not an exception in the south of Puglia. This is a family business, led by father Rizzoli.

Sammarco has very good vineyards by Puglian standards. They work with local grape varieties such as Primitivo (from Manduria), Nero di Troia, and Negroamaro.
